A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF MORLAND, GRAHAM COUNTY, KANSAS, FROM SECTION 79-5001 THROUGH 79-5017, KANSAS STATUTES ANNOTATED, AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO, AS TO TAX LID LIMITATIONS.

WHEREAS, it is desirable to adopt and pass a charter ordinance exempting the City of Morland, Graham County, Kansas, from the applicable provisions of Sections 79-5001 through 79-5017 of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, and any amendments thereto, known as the aggregate Tax Levy Limitation Law; and,

WHEREAS, said sections of law do presently apply to the City of Morland, Kansas, but do not now apply uniformly to all cities:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF MORLAND, GRAHAM COUNTY, KANSAS:

SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 15, Article 12 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, the City of Morland, Graham County, Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself from, and to make inapplicable to it, said Section 79-5001 through 79-5017 of the Kansas Statutes annotated, and amendments thereto, which apply to said City, but the provisions of which do not apply uniformly to all cities.
